Too much?

Have you ever gotten the feeling that people expect too much out of you? Have you ever tried to be the best friend/sister/girlfriend/co-worker, etc. that you know how, only for it to not be enough for someone? I have figured out that you can't please everyone, and it only hurts you to keep trying. I get the impression that some people think that you are supposed to automatically know what they are and are not thinking! Let's talk about it! Tell me what you think!

An interesting conversation took place between myself and another woman. She was telling me how she wanted to give her daughter a birthday party, but her funds were low. (Totally understandable) But what I didn't understand, is when she started to tell me that her husband couldn't work because he owed child support (a child from a previous marriage). She stated that they always take a major portion from his check. She then went on to say, how the ex-wife was horrible because she knows he has a family and she still demands her payments. She also informed that day-care was killing her pockets. Ummmm Yeah, as I blankly stared at her, I wondered, when did we get to the point where WE make excuses for men? Maybe I'm crazy. Miss Thang is apparently defending his sexuality in an issue of Sister 2 Sister Mag. He doesn't understand why people think he's gay. *crickets* Umm, Ne-Yo, pictures like this make people think that. Hard times, maybe?

I am so excited! For the past two years, life has truly been a challenge for me! Now, I can finally see clear, now that the rain is trying to leave. I finally got 2 job offers at one time. This is a first for me, and a real hard decision. I am so happy, because now that I will make a few dollars more, I can actually afford to eat lunch! LOL! Anyway, I am so happy for me!!
